Is It Worth Getting Relationship Advice?

Sunday, December 6th, 2009

Is it worth getting relationship advice? Many people ask that question over and over. Some people think their problems will get better with time and others think what is the point the relationship is probably over anyway. If you are one those thinking either one of those things you need to get some relationship advice to get back on track to a strong and happy relationship again.

Over 55 percent of marriages end up in divorce. Many of those marriages could have been saved with a little effort on the part of the people involved. That is a tragedy, and that is why those divorce numbers are as high as they are. If more people would think that relationship advice is worth it, then maybe we could start to see those numbers reverse.

A little known fact, most people that do get relationship advice think that it was very helpful and worked for them. Those people that do are still married. Those people that don’t think it works are the people who will get rid of that one person and think their problems are over. Truth of the matter is, half the problem is still there.

When couples do get relationship advice they find out that the other person was not just the only problem. That person finds out that they were just as much of the problem. They find out things that they never knew about their partner and their self, and the reason for this is most people open up more because they feel safe when there is a third party there or when reading a relationship advice guide. You and your partner may say things you have always wanted to say but were just too worried that emotions would get out of control and just cause more problems.

I can’t tell you relationship advice is going to work for every couple or you every time. It depends on the couple and how bad they want to make it work. Relationship advice is there to guide the couple in the right direction, it is there to help open up doors that may have been shut or doors that have never been open before. So is it worth getting relationship advice? Take a Look around you, is it worth losing everything you love? You and your loved one are the only ones that know the answer.

If you’re good for each other, things will work out. By acting confident and grown up, you heighten your chances of getting back together. If you get along pretty well with each other, feel connected and really want to stay together, fix it. It is worth it. It is hard to find that special person. When you do find them you need to hang on tight through the good and the not so good. You need to come together and not break up. Why break up when you can make up? Remember too, making up can be a lot of fun!

Get Some Long Distance Relationship Advice

Sunday, December 6th, 2009

Maintaining a healthy long distance relationship can be a challenge without the right long distance relationship advice.  It takes two mature people who are able to communicate in order to make it work.  It will also take some sound long distance relationship advice, and that’s where I come in.

In this article I’ve outlined some long distance relationship advice that you can do to make your relationship not only survive, but thrive.  I’ve also compiled a few of the most common problems couples face and how to avoid falling into the same traps in your relationship.

The first part of the long distance relationship advice you and your partner need to do to ensure the continued strength of your relationship is to make sure you are both on the same page.  Make sure you agree on whether or not you have an exclusive relationship. If one partner thinks it’s ok to date while you are apart and the other one is staying monogamous, the relationship is doomed from the start.

For the most part, a couple won’t even contemplate a monogamous long distance relationship unless both parties feel the relationship has the potential to be  a long term one.  There is no sense making this type of commitment unless you both feel that the other person might be ‘the one’.

Another bit of long distance relationship advice you and your partner need to do is make sure you have good communication skills.  When you are far away from each other for extended periods of time, and you can’t have physical contact, you will have to rely solely on your communication skills to continue to build your relationship.

That is why long distance relationships, when they last, are some of the best relationships around.  The couple has to learn to communicate effectively to make it work, and they don’t get distracted by all the physical attraction. They are able to connect on a deeper level which can often lead to a more fulfilling relationship.

If you are an insecure person, though most people won’t admit it if they are, you should avoid getting involved in a long distance relationship.  Being in this type of relationship requires a great amount of trust, typically people who are insecure see a threat everywhere, even where there isn’t one.

If you and your partner are overly suspicious, not only will your relationship be a constant battle, it will also be unlikely to work.  No good relationship can be based on suspicion and insecurities.

You and your partner also need to be careful of the temptation to have a ‘fling’ with someone while away from your partner.  Unless you both agree in advance that some extracurricular activity is ok (and if that’s the case why bother pursuing a long distance relationship in the first place) than you should stay faithful to your partner.

If you want to maintain your long distance relationship you have to know ahead of time that it will be a challenge and you and your partner both have to be committed to making it work, but if you follow my  long distance relationship advice you and your partner have a real shot of having a great, long term loving relationship.

If you are in a long distance relationship, and need some more long distance relationship advice, then having someone in your corner to talk to and help you along the way is priceless. Find out how to get the help you need to make your long distance relationship work Here!

Relationships And Cheating How To Get Over It

Sunday, December 6th, 2009

Sometimes it seems as if relationship and cheating go hand in hand. For me it feels as if everyone I know has been involved on the one side or the other of cheating in a relationship. You will be surprised if you knew some of the people guilty of cheating. In all probability you were on the receiving end yourself that is probably why you are reading this.

There is no getting away from it, cheating hurts. You can really be hurt if someone cheats on you, but surprising enough, the cheater can get hurt as well. The cheater has to do everything in secret and lie a lot. This can really become a problem in a relationship.

The cheater may not seem guilty, but he or she must feel guilty. This will place extra strain on the relationship. Cheating does not have to mean the end of a relationship though. With the right help it can be salvaged.

If you have been in a relationship where you have been cheated on, you will have problems trusting again. Even if you did not break up or if you got back together again, you will have to learn to trust again.

Saving such a relationship is not easy especially if the cheating happened more than once. With the right work on the relationship the trust can be rebuild again. Working at it is well worth it if you think you can be happy again.

The first step is to find out why the person cheated on you. The reason is an important indicator if the person will cheat again. So, it is important that you have a calm discussion about this. You have to hear the other party’s reason and whether it just happened.

If it just happened, or if the person was simply “bored” the chances of it happening again is big. There has to be a better reason why it happened and if there is not, then maybe the relationship is not worth saving. You can only forgive if there was a really good reason for the cheating. Cheating out of boredom is going to lead to cheating again. No relationship can survive under those circumstances.

It is possible, for instant that at the time of the cheating, you were having problems. The person may even have thought the relationship is over. The person may have felt ignored or neglected, those are at least things you can do something about. If you can understand what was going on, at least you have something to work with. No excuse is a reason for cheating, but you need to know so you can prevent it from happening again.

Relationships and cheating will always be with us. Many manage to work through it and the relationship survives. Others simply cannot get over it, they can never trust again and them the relationship cannot be saved. If there is constant distrust or fear, things will fall apart at some stage again.

So, even though relationships and cheating are a curious mix, you can survive it. The important thing is to make sure you understand why it happened and that you will be able to trust again
